Software Engineer – Software/Firmware

Fluidan is developing the RheoStream® technology that for the first time makes it possible to measure complex flow properties (rheology) of liquids in real time. This enables the manufacturer to continuously monitor and optimize the production process, and to make large savings by reducing time, waste and re-process.
We work closely with Danish and international companies – our future customers – in development and implementation of a measuring instrument that will make waves across a range of industry sectors – food, paint/coating, chemicals, biotech and many more.
Fluidan is looking for a talented and ambitious software developer to accelerate the development from prototype to industrial implementation.
As our new Software Engineer you will from day one be a key member of the Fluidan team with responsibility for designing and developing the platform of the instrument software and firmware.
You will work in close collaboration with our Instrument Developer (mechanics) and our Application Specialist and you will also be responsible for engaging and driving external development partners.
The workplace is at Scion DTU in Kgs. Lyngby, Copenhagen.
Your main tasks include:
- Development of the instrument management software – current and future versions.
- Programmed in C++, running on a PC-like board, Linux
- Interfaces (adaptors) to external environments (Management PC, SCADA etc.)
- Testing in test environment and “real life” using the RheoStream instrument
You will also get the opportunity to work with the instrument firmware, implementing new version as we learn more about the requirements.
The preferred candidate is competent in
- Development in Linux
- C++, CMAKE and Git
- Development of communication protocols

You probably hold a Masters degree (engineer or IT) and you may have some years of professional experience in programming and embedded systems .
