Soap and Shampoo
Most liquid soaps, hand soaps and shower products as well as shampoos are “viscoelastic liquids”.
An example is the hand soap illustrated here (Änglemark Hand Soap from COOP Denmark).
Moreover, the same products are shear thinning, being nice and thick (and storage stable) in the bottle, but thinning to easily squeeze out of the bottle and spread on skin or in hair.
RheoStream® is perfectly suited for continuous monitoring of the rheology of such products. RheoStream VE can simultaneously read out the viscosity profile (flow curve at 3-8 selected shear rates) and the elastic properties (G’, G” at selected frequencies).
